  2. Microwave the potatoes for 3 to 5 minutes at 500w. Turn them over once, and microwave for an additional 3 to 5 minutes. Take them out when they're soft.
  3. Peel the potatoes while they're still hot (with your hands) and cut them up into bite sized pieces. Put a lot of diagonal cuts into the sausages.
  4. Heat up the frying pan and melt the butter. Add the finely chopped garlic and saute over medium heat until fragrant.
