Never did I ever think I'd take one of my favorite spice blends that I grew up on and combine it with a scone. If you've never heard of za'atar it's middle eastern blend of herbs and spices. To be specific, it's oregano, thyme, toasted sesame seeds.

The ingredients needed to make Za'atar scones:
- Prepare 2 cups AP flour
- Take 1 tbsp BP
- Get 5 tbsp unsalted butter, chilled and diced small pieces
- Prepare 1 cup heavy cream
- Take 1/2 cup za'atar

- Roll your dough on lightly floured surface about 1/2 inch thickness, if your dough is not sticky, you don't even need the flour, cut into circles or triangles
- Brush with egg wash, bake on a sheet pan for about 15 minutes until surface is browned
