- Close the top. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 3-4. Or if you're like me.. Start on high, turn to low before leaving the house. Takes around 5!
Arrange chicken pieces over onion, in single layer if possible.. Seasoned, browned chicken breasts slow cooked with lemon juice, garlic, and chicken bouillon. A wonderful 'fix and forget' recipe that is easy and pleases just about everyone. Great served with rice or pasta, or even alone. I recommend throwing a head of garlic in the oven whenever you're making a slow-cooked braise or casserole.
